Our family (two adults and two teens) stayed eight nights at Hotel Alpi in one of their family rooms. We had a great experience. Summary of likes: 1) The front desk staff is great – all speak English and are incredibly helpful in answering questions, making suggestions, and calling a cab. The hotel lobby is staffed 24 hours a day. 2) The family room we stayed in was large. We had a king bed and asked that the other bed be divided into two twin beds. 3) The room is well equipped – expresso maker, hot water kettle, hair dryer, fridge, and an amazing amount of storage space for clothes and luggage 4) The room was spotless clean – it was cleaned every day 5) The breakfast buffet includes croissants, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, cereal, coffee, cappuccino, etc. There is something for everyone. On New Year’s Day, they provided champagne as part of the breakfast. We ate breakfast at the hotel on three of our eight days – on other days, we ate at other pastry shops. 6) Lots of restaurants nearby. I would recommend Ristorante Pinseria Al 39 da Massimo (Italian), Inka Chicken (Peruvian), and Saravanaa Bhavan (Indian) 7) Most things in Rome (Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.) are a mile away or less. 8) The hotel is near the Termini subway stop, a major train station, and a bus station.

We had a great time at Alpi Hotel. The staff was super helpful and warm! We were charmed. We originally booked a room with no breakfast included but decided to try it one day and it's worth the money, everything was fresh and the waitress was lovely. The hotel was clean, the room as well and they have a lovely terrace where you can sit to have your breakfast in the morning or to grab a glass and snacks in the evening to wind down from a day full of walking. The location was also great, close to the Termini train station and in an area full of great restaurants. A lot of people doubt about staying in that area, this was my 4th time in Rome and 3rd time staying in Termini and it never disappoints! (it was my boyfriend's first time in Rome and he loved the area as well)

The location is near the main train station, which is very convenient for arriving from and going to Fiumicino airport. It's also relatively near to the city center, we could reach the Coliseum in less than 30 min walking and from there getting around the city to visit the main touristic attractions was very easy. The Vatican was also quite directly accessible through metro. The room was not very big, but spacious enough and had very high ceilings, which made it look bigger. It had the main amenities one would expect in a hotel room and the bed was quite comfy. There are many restaurants in the area and the receptionist gave us his personal recommendations which we really enjoyed.

The staff we're all so kind and helpful, and genuinely so. From recommending a wonderful restaurant, to holding bags well before my check in. The tiny patio off of the room was lovely for fresh air, the towels were big and cuddly, the décor was elegant and simple... but the best of all.... the bed and pillow were so comfortable ! After weeks of traveling, this bed was the best, and I hated to leave it for my early train. I've traveled for 30 plus years, and this hotel just has a certain sweet quality that I look for when on the road a lot. I was here for work, and normally stay in Trastevere when I come to Rome, but this was so handy to the train and métro... both 5 minutes away.

The location of this hotel is perfect, an 8 walk to Termini station the transport hub for Rome, trains, metro, buses, taxis and the Leonardo Express direct to and from airport Its style is old fashioned Italian charm, marble floors throughout and traditional wall art; clean and well presented. At breakfast numerous choices but the thing I noticed was the quality crockery and cutlery which I never expect in hotels. Finally the staff on reception all very helpful, directions, maps, taxi bookings and all speak English. No regrets about the choice I made to stay there.
